An excursion to Doubtful Sound reveals extraordinary vistas, but with a bite.

We arrived to Los Angeles via Big Sur, Carmel, San Simeon and Los Olivos travelling with our rented SUV. Interesting places to see and stop to capture in the way.

San Francisco was our first stop in this long trip including America, New Zealand as main destination, and Singapore. We departured from London Heathrow with Virgin Atlantic in a pleasant and comfortable flight full of smiles from the flight attendants and booze.

Stewart Island/Rakiura is situated south of New Zealand's South Island. It lies 30 kilometres south west of Bluff between latitudes 46 and 47 degrees south.

Wanaka was our base for a two week break from travelling. A so much needed treat in the lakes!
